Abstract
Due to the limitation of 2D DICOM image sequence in the treatment of Spinal, 3D visualization of image sequence has important significance. In order to reappearance of three-dimensional structure of peripheral nerve, this paper proposes a method using the improved level-set curve evolution model for segmenting two-dimensional DICOM images, which effectively extracts key information of DICOM images. And then, segmented image sequences are made 3D reconstruction through MC algorithm, getting the ideal 3D configurations of the spine and spinal nerve. Experiment shows that the proposed algorithm for segmentation and reconstruction of the spine of the spine and spinal nerve has a good result.
