Towards Resilient Storage For Water Supply Dam Under Climate Change Scenarios: A Case Study Of Linggiu Reservoir

This study deals with the development of a method to estimate the stock projection for Linggiu Reservoir (LR) under climate change scenarios. This study found that the projected rainfall data for the reservoir was comparable and very close to the observed rainfall data. Based on the LR stock projection using average and minimum rainfall projected under different climate change scenarios, it was observed that the stock was expected to be below 60% throughout the four years (2018-2021). In addition, the stock for LR (2022-2027) was projected to achieve the consistent maximum stock, which is 760 MCM. In the future, it is useful to prepare a sustainable water supply action plan for LR specifically to address the impact of climate change such as drought and El Nino episodes.
