Performance And Removal Characteristics Of Anaerobic Fluidized Bed Reactor (Afbr) Treating Low-Strength Synthetic Wastewater
2016 INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING (ESE 2016)(2016)
Abstract
In this paper, the performance and removal characteristics of an anaerobic fluidized bed reactor (AFBR) treating low-strength synthetic wastewater were studied. It was found that, using granular activated carbon (GAC) as support medium, under the operating condition of temperature (35 +/- 3 degrees C), when the influent COD concentration was 445-537mg/L, hydraulic retention time (HRT) was 6h and GAC bed expansion30%, COD removal efficiency and removal volume loading were 89%,3.98kgCOD/(m(3).d), respectively. The average methane production was 177mL/dand the sludge yield was about 12% COD removed.
