Family Doctor Participation In Postnatal Diagnosis Of Prenatally Detected Congenital Urinary Tract Defect

Urinary system malformations are frequently detected congenital anomalies. They can be detected prenatally on the basis on ultrasound diagnostics. Prenatal diagnosis requires precise postnatal evaluation. However, the diagnostic approach in this matter remains controversial. Working Group of Polish Society of Pediatric Nephrology has prepared the guidelines for postnatal diagnosis of prenatally detected congenital malformation of urinary tract. In this paper we describe recommendations which could be useful especially for family doctors.
