Hypericum perforatum L. from 19 localities of Czech Republic was studied for the variability of hypericin and hyperforin content in the period 2006 - 2008. Plant samples which were transferred as a seeds into the field nursery in Olomouc were evaluated separately. According our measurement Hypericum perforatum in the Czech Republic contain 0.3 - 3.8 mg. g- 1 of hypericin (1.3 mg. g(-1) in average) and 4.0 - 248.2 mg. g(-1) of hyperforin (97.6 mg. g(-1) in average). The results showed statistically significant differences in hypericin and hyperforin content between studied years but only content of hyperforin was found statistically different in the plants from different natural localities.
