摘要
This paper is aimed at design, analysis and implementation of 1kW power supply unit for high-frequency transmitter in naval applications. Most of the equipments used by Army/Navy are based on 42V DC supply. Hence developing a PSU, that produces 42V DC from AC mains play a vital role. The design prototype consists of a boost power factor correction (PFC) circuit, half-bridge inverter followed by a rectifier. Power conversion process consists of two stages. In this work AC to DC conversion topology is used, however it is necessary to keep additional control circuitry to control power factor. In order to maintain good power factor, a boost Power Factor Correction (PFC) circuit is employed. The proposed AC/DC converter is designed to operate at 100 kHz. Further the proposed AC/DC converter illustrates achievement of line, load regulation and good power factor as per design requirements. Also ripples obtained are within the safe limits and design is validated using experimental results.
