Noise And Impedance Of The Sirof Utah Hlectrode Array
2016 IEEE SENSORS(2016)
摘要
Implantable microelectrode arrays are key to gaining a better understanding of the brain and neural circuits, through large-scale stimulation and recording of neural activity. Sputtered iridium oxide film (SIROF) electrodes are optimized for efficient charge delivery during stimulation, but their recording properties have not been well studied. Noise and impedance are fundamental properties that have not been thoroughly characterized, but they are critical to the fidelity achievable with appropriately designed interface electronics. This report presents correlated noise and impedance measurements of a SIROF Utah Electrode Array (UEA). To the authors' knowledge, this is the first time these properties have been examined together for the UEA.
