Abstract
•Superhydrophobic and lubricant-infused slippery coatings were fabricated.•The coatings markedly reduced Escherichia coli biofilm growth over a 7-day period.•Infusion of lubricating oil considerably improved the antithrombotic property.•The coatings demonstrated good compatibility with fibroblast cells.•The multifunctional coatings have huge potential for biomedical devices.
