摘要
In the mobile banking context, the decision to discontinue using a certain service has received sparse attention. Previous research has identified this behavior as one potential coping strategy to avoid stressful situations related to the use of technology. Considering that forms of stress are multidimensional, complex, and situational, this research proposal investigates the determining factors influencing users’ responses and coping behaviors through the perspective of a potential interaction between technostress and financial stress in the mobile banking context. Our literature review on mobile banking, technostress, and financial stress research, shows that prior research on technostress 1) has not explored the context of mobile banking; 2) does not investigate simultaneously users’ psychophysiological and behavioral responses and; 3) that the interaction between technostress and non-technological stress has not been explored. It also shows that 4) even though factors of technostress and financial stress differ, their outcomes seem generally similar. Based on these findings and in order to disentangle financial stress and technostress impacts on users’ responses and behaviors, an experimental design based on an adapted version of the Trust Game is proposed.
