摘要
•The novel hypoxia-activated and nitroreductase-responsive probe has been developed.•The probe exhibits near-infrared fluorescent off-on response to nitroreductase.•The probe has been used to imaging endogenous nitroreductase of living cells.•The probe has been first used for in vivo imaging of tiny tumor as small as 6 mm3.•The probe possesses prominent photodynamic therapy efficacy in vitro and in vivo.
