Clinical and histological characteristics during chronic urticaria with dermal neutrophilic infiltrate: Proposal of a diagnostic score

Some debate continues about the existence of neutrophilic urticaria (NU) as a nosological and distinct entity from chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). Since Winkelman's article (1) defining NU by the existence of neutrophilic venulitis, several studies have attempted to establish histological criteria (2-5). However, to date, there is no consensus on this definition. The objective of this study was to compare clinical, biological and histological characteristics and therapeutic response between NU and CSU.
