Investigation of Vacuum Breakdown in Pulsed DC Systems

Vacuum breakdown in the pulsed DC experiment at CERN was investigated by means of electrical measurements, SEM and STEM imaging of the surface and cross sections of the copper electrodes, and numerical modeling.
