Abstract
Patients with T4 L-SCC who are deemed operable but undergo LP do not appear to have worse OS compared to those undergoing Lgx. Our findings suggest that confounding by indication may have influenced earlier analyses that demonstrated inferior outcomes among LP patients. Additional research is needed to define which T4 patients may be eligible for LP.
