A thermo-poro-mechanical model for catastrophic landslides under unsaturated conditions

•A quasi 2D thermo-poro-mechanical model for catastrophic landslides is proposed.•Both unsaturated and saturated zones are numerical analyzed simultaneously.•Effects of hydraulic conductivity and initial degree of saturation are discussed.•Soil-water characteristic curve is of significance for the velocity of landslides.
