Diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease based on regional attention with sMRI gray matter slices

•Enhancing gray matter feature information more effectively by combination of slice region and attention mechanism.•Experimental results were evaluated on sMRI slice images with non-leakage splitting from the ADNI database.•Analyzed the correlation between the slice area of sMRI and the diagnostic effect of Alzheimer's disease.•Some regions of interest in brain sMRI images are pointed out, which can improve the diagnostic accuracy of Alzheimer's disease.
