•Cord blood LCn3PUFA levels were not significantly related to any ASQ test scores.•LCn3PUFAs were associated with better gross motor skills among infants with lower Hg and higher Se.•CpG sites were differentially methylated with the interaction between LCn3PUFAs, Hg and Se levels.
