摘要
•We resolved proteomes of F. nucleatum and P. gingivalis cells grown together or separately in biofilm or planktonic culture.•F. nucleatum appeared to influence the levels of multiple P. gingivalis proteins both in biofilm and planktonic culture.•P. gingivalis showed greater protein changes than F. nucleatum in all compared conditions.•P. gingivalis seemed to adapt to biofilm by increasing protein levels; however, F. nucleatum presence mitigated this need.
