Tutorial applications for Verification, Validation and Uncertainty Quantification using VECMA toolkit

•The paper introduces the VECMA toolkit (VECMAtk) for Verification, Validation and Uncertainty Quantification techniques and patterns.•VECMAtk has five main components, namely EasyVVUQ, FabSim3, MUSCLE3, EasySurrogate and QCG tools.•EasyVVUQ simplifies the implementation and use of VVUQ workflows. FabSim3 helps to automate computational research activities.•MUSCLE3 supports the coupling of multiscale applications. EasySurrogare is a toolkit for various types of surrogate methods.•QCG tools facilitate execution of applications using high performance computing (HPC) infrastructures.•We present five tutorials from different application domains that apply these VECMAtk components.
