Leaf water content estimation using top-of-canopy airborne hyperspectral data

摘要
•Bands within 400–1000 nm have sensitivity towards higher order overtone frequencies of water molecules.•Pure pixel indices created using these bands are capable of estimating leaf water content.•A model created using the newly identified indices is capable of estimating leaf water content at early growth stages.
