Acceptability and effectiveness of a novel cycling training on the parkinsonian motor and psychiatric symptoms in individuals with schizophrenia: A pilot study

•High speed cycling training (speedwork) is feasible in people with schizophrenia.•Speedwork improves parkinsonian motor and psychiatric symptoms in schizophrenia.•Both upper and lower extremity motor function improved after speedwork.•There is evidence for a central adaptation to speedwork training.
