Abstract
The invention discloses an experimental simulation system for determining pollutant distribution at the intersections of a river network, and a simulation method thereof. The experimental simulation system structurally comprises two upstream water tanks, a downstream water tank, an upstream flat-bottom water groove, a downstream flat-bottom water groove, water pumping pipelines, variable-frequency pumps, water-stabilizing gratings, electromagnetic flow meters, and rectangular organic glass sand plates in areas to be detected, wherein one water pumping pipeline loop is lead to the two upstream water tanks from the downstream water tank, and one variable-frequency pump and one electromagnetic flow meter are installed on each water pumping pipeline loop; the upstream flat-bottom water groove is connected with the upstream water tanks, and one water-stabilizing grating is placed at the junction for stabilizing water flow in the water groove; and the downstream flat-bottom water groove communicates with the downstream water tank through a tail gate. The experimental simulation system has the following advantages: 1) the experimental simulation system is applicable to simulation for pollutant distribution in river network intersection areas with different junction angles in the river network; 2) the difference of the pollutant distribution in the intersection areas due to the different flow rates of river on site in different periods can be researched through changing a junction ratio; and 3) scientific guidance can be provided for research on the pollutant distribution rule of the intersection areas of the river network and governance on the river network.
