摘要
•SARS-COV-2 is often hypothesised as a trigger for autoimmunity via molecular mimicry.•We report 28 human proteins with peptides homologous to SARS-COV-2 B cell epitopes.•These proteins have a widespread tissue distribution in the human body.•Autoantibodies against them have been detected in typical autoimmune conditions.•Thus, we discuss autoimmunity as a plausible mechanism for extrapulmonary effects of COVID-19.
