A novel TiZrNb medium entropy alloy (MEA) with appropriate elastic modulus for biocompatible materials

摘要
•A novel equiatomic TiZrNb MEA for biocompatible materials was designed and developed.•It exhibits appropriate elastic modulus of 72 ± 3 GPa under tensile, which is close to that of bone and lower than that of Ti6Al4V.•The alloy has well biocompatibility, its corrosion resistance is equivalent to that of Ti6Al4V alloy in PBS.•After rolling and annealing, an obvious work hardening appears in the alloys in the tensile test.
