Abstract
Reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) has been widely demonstrated to improve the noninvasive diagnostic accuracy of melanocytic tumors . Some studies have focused on studying the use of teleconsultation of RCM images with experts as a promising opportunity for those doctors who have little experience in the field . The clinical diagnosis of Sutton's naevus is usually straightforward : a melanocytic naevus surrounded by a symmetrical white circle ; however, sometimes inflammation makes identifying this entity challenging, as it can present atypical clinical and dermoscopic features. This atypical presentation of Sutton's naevi can pose a diagnostic challenge. In addition, some groups, including ours, have recently published the confocal findings of such equivocal Sutton's naevi .
