•The bursting mechanism is revealed by bifurcation analysis of the system.•An approximation method for force transmissibility is proposed.•Bursting is generated from equilibrium to limit cycle and the equilibrium jumping.•The weakest bursting occurred when system behaves a unique equilibrium.
