Highly efficient removal of organic pollutants from wastewater using a recyclable graphene oxide membrane intercalated with g-C3N4@TiO2-nanowires

•A nanowire embedded membrane was fabricated via a simple process.•The membrane possessed enhanced photocatalytic activity under solar light exposure.•The photocatalytic mechanism of membrane was proposed.•The membrane can enrich tetracycline hydrochloride by π-π stacking interactions.•The membrane can be used for the recyclable wastewater purification.
