Abstract
Technological stresses in the poultry industry directly affect the broiler-chicken’s performance and the production intensification. The technological stress factors affect the metabolic pathways occurring in the chicken’s body. The objective of the survey was to assess the efficiency of the feed additive used for broiler chickens in the technology-related stress environments in the broiler chicken industry. The feed additive used for the broiler chickens reared in the preslaughter period could allow us to maintain their productive performance due to decreasing the technological load on the bird’s body. This was proven by increasing the average daily liveweight gain, the absolute liveweight, the welfare benefit, the meat yield, and the gross revenue in the chickens of the experimental group by 0.7, 2.3, 1.5, 13.4, and 49.2%, respectively. The 22.54, 22.5, and 5.07% higher contents in serum total protein, calcium, and phosphorus, respectively, along with the 6.12, 2.22, and 7.05% lower levels of total lipids, cholesterol, and glucose, respectively, were recorded in the experimental group of broiler chickens compared to that in the control.
