摘要

•Patients presenting with acute worsening of chronic osteomyelitis improved after two-stage treatment with spacers and BAG-S53P4.•Radiographically, patients presented partial resorption of BAG-S53P4 granules at the 2-year follow-up after treatment.•The time for BAG-S53P4 implantation after surgical debridement was variable, but did not influence the clinical results.
