Dengue virus induces interferon-β by activating RNA sensing pathways in megakaryocytes

•Dengue virus induces RIG-I (at 24hr post infection) and MDA-5 (at 48hr and 72hr post infection) in MEG-01 cells.•MDA-5 induces type-I IFN-β and ISG-15 in MEG-01 cells during dengue virus infection.•Dengue virus reduce CD61 expression, an activation marker of megakaryocytes which may impaired megakaryocyte development.
