Functional Connectivity Profiles of Subcallosal Cingulate Cortex Deep Brain Stimulation for Treatment Resistant Depression

Subcallosal cingulate cortex (SCC) deep brain stimulation (DBS) is an experimental intervention for treatment-resistant depression (TRD). Little, however, is known about initial brain state patterns that might predict outcome. The objective of this study is to examine individual functional connectivity (FC) profiles of the SCC DBS target and test if the functional connectivity profile of effective SCC DBS can predict long-term response.
