Abstract
•Phellinus linteus 03 led to the highest hispidin production at 25 °C of incubation.•Incubated in the dark was found to be the optimal hispidin production.•The highest hispidin production was observed in pearl barley medium.•Zn2+ was found to be the optimal metal ion of hispidin production.•Hispidin production enhanced by using Zn2+ addition to grain media.
