摘要

•A Microbial Redox Flow Cell (MRFC) to generate and store bioenergy is demonstrated.•Redox pairs were bio-charged in Bioelectrochemical systems with G. sulfurreducens.•MRFC with bio-charged negalyte and posilyte 2,6-AQDS||[Fe(CN)6]4− was operated.•The MRFC reached a ca. 99% coulombic efficiency.
