Abstract
Flavonoid O-methylation is an essential change reaction in plants. Because of their strict substrate specificity, Omethyl transferases that catalyze development of small molecule in plants play a decisive role in the determination of secondary metabolite biosynthesis trajectories. O-methylation is now an important part of a wide range of biological and pharmacological roles in the variety of flavonoids. In the process of regulating proteins and producing plant volatile methyl esters research has in particular been focused on their natural functions. Alkylating agents have declined to be used in industrial biotechnology as MTs replace them. In the production of products like biofuels, bioplastics and medicines, chemicals processing technology was employed. These tissues, especially in the adipose tissues, are often methylated. This review shows that a group of enzymes potentially valuable for gene expression in citrus species and other plant species.
