Biochemistry is defined by students as a collection of chemical structures and reactions that are difficult to assimilate and disintegrate from their professional practice. Given this context, this article aims to present a successful experience using Project-Based Learning to build biochemical concepts, configuring a proposal based on the assumptions of hybrid teaching. The research has a qualitative methodological approach and was carried out within the scope of a discipline of Biochemistry, from the Biological Sciences Degree course of a higher education institution. For the development of the projects, students received guidance through tools such as Virtual Learning Environment Moodle, WhatsApp group and email of the discipline. Finally, the moments experienced in person and virtually shows the potential of hybrid teaching in the light of Project-Based Learning with regard to contextualized and meaningful conceptual development for undergraduate students.
