POS-810 SECONDARY HYPERPARATHYROIDISM: A CARDIOVASCULAR RISK FACTOR FOR KIDNEY DISEASE

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death and accounts for the majority of morbidity in chronic hemodialysis patients. In addition, hyperparathyroidism is a common complication in these patients and may be responsible in the long term for impaired heart structure and function. The aim of our study was to evaluate the correlation between Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and hyperparathyroidism in CKD.
