In this paper, an experimental demonstration of gigabit optical wireless communication system using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) modulation format is reported. Intensity modulation with direct detection (IM/DD) is employed. In each OFDM symbol, the bandwidth of the analog electrical signal is 400 MHz.
