摘要
•The prevalence of Depressive Disorders was 4.73% ant the incidence rates (2015–2017) were 7.12, 7.35 and 8.02 per 1000 person-years, respectively.•The estimated societal cost of Depressive Disorders in the Spanish adult population was € 6145 million. The mean cost per patient/year was € 3402.•Indirect costs related to long-term sick leaves/permanent disabilities have the greatest weight within the total cost of depressive disorder in Spain (60,5%).•Direct costs represent only 17,5% of the total costs of depression, representing 1,1% of the total Health Care Expenditure in 2017.
