Magnitude and associated factors of intraoperative nausea and vomiting among parturients who gave birth with cesarean section under spinal anesthesia at South Gondar zone Hospitals, Ethiopia

•Intraoperative nausea and vomiting is one of the intraoperative complications.•The overall incidence of intraoperative nausea and vomiting was 40.2%.•Knowing the magnitude and predictors of IONV helps to plan for management.•Age >30, motion sickness, oxytocin used, emergency surgery were among the factors.
