Abstract
•Plasma P4 concentrations are increased by a 100 mg short-acting injectable P4 (iP4) treatment 14 d after TAI.•Follicular wave emergence is not altered by an intravaginal device plus iP4 during diestrus in cattle.•Size of dominant follicle is greater and luteolysis is earlier in Nelore suckled cows than heifers.•Pregnancy rates is enhanced in Nelore cattle resynchronized with an intravaginal P4 device plus 100 mg iP4.
