Extraperitoneal laparoscopic radical prostatectomy with 3 trocars: An initial report following the first 36 cases of single-centre

•Minimally invasive radical prostatectomy is provided via using the robot or laparoscopic routes.•Robotic and traditional laparoscopic radical prostatectomy are performed by using at least 5 trocars.•Single port laparoscopic radical prostatectomy has not been continued due to difficulty of surgical technique and requirement of special hand devices.•We developed our surgical technique and anatomic knowledge of pelvis with laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.•We also developed our surgical technique on eLRP.•This is an initial report following the first 36 eLRP with using 3 trocars cases of single-centre.•In this video, we presented such a case of eLRP and simultaneously inguinal hernia repair with using 3 trocars.•This is also the first presentation of our novel surgical technique of eLRP with 3 trocars in the published literature.
