Abstract
A millimeter wave synthetic aperture radar imaging radar system is built, which is used to research on shallow surface imaging technology. The principle of near-field millimeter-wave imaging is analyzed. By detecting the hidden target under different complex materials, the imaging performance and penetration performance of the millimeter wave imaging system are studied and verified. Measured results show that millimeter-wave has its unique advantages in shallow surface imaging, such as higher range resolution and azimuth resolution, and the equipment is more miniaturized and safer.
