Analysis of pesticide residues in hazelnuts using the QuEChERS method by liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry

•A new LC-MS/MS method was developed using QuEChERs processing for detection of 77 pesticide residues in hazelnuts.•Methodology has been validated for linearity, detection and quantification limits, and percentage recovery.•Real samples (hazelnuts) were tested by the methodology.
