Abstract
•A novel β-CD derivative chemically bonded CSP, MDCPC, was successfully prepared and characterized.•MDCPC showed the satisfactory enantioselectivity for PPIs under various HPLC conditions.•Chiral recognition mechanisms were illustrated firstly by molecular docking technique from the molecular level.•Hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic interaction and inclusion complexation played an important role in enantioseparation.
