A new porous heterometallic metal‐organic framework for gas adsorption and luminescence sensing

A new heterometallic metal-organic framework, namely [Zn2Sr(btc)(2)(H2O)(3)](n) . x(solvent) (1 btc=1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate), has been solvothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. X-ray structural analysis reveals that compound 1 exploits heterometallic trinuclear [Zn2Sr(COO)(6)] clusters as secondary building subunits, and displays a 3D framework with 1D channels along crystallographical c axis that can be simplified into a binodal (3,6)-connected topological network. The activated sample of 1 a shows high CO2 adsorption capacity and high adsorption selectivity of CO2 over N-2 at 298 K. Luminescent properties investigations indicate that 1 a can sensitively sensing of CS2 via luminescence quenching.
