摘要
•Formation of Co-OH on K0.45MnO2 via a redox reaction of hydrated Co2+ with surface Mn4+.•Ultrathin Co-OH nanoflakes with high EC surface area formed due to limited surface Mn4+ sites.•Electronic structure of Co-OH strongly depends on the anion types of Co precursors.•Co@KMO-Cl showes OER activity with an overvoltage of only 245 mV at 10 mA cm−2.
