Abstract
Limbic encephalitis (LE) is the most common syndrome associated with autoimmune encephalitis.(1) A growing number of autoantibodies have been identified, but a proportion of patients remain seronegative. Antibodies against intracellular antigens, or onconeuronal antibodies, are highly indicative of systemic cancer; however, antibodies against cell surface antigens may also be paraneoplastic.(2) Flotillins are cell surface proteins ubiquitously expressed and are involved in cell proliferation and cancer progression.(3) We report a case of LE with antibodies against flotillins.
