摘要

•Detection of viruses directly in bee hemolymph eliminates the use of highly toxic organic solvents and reduces the cost and saves time as well.•The novel method allows for the direct detection of viruses in bee hemolymph without the need to sacrifice the lives of bees.•Honey bee hemolymph coagulates rapidly and the lifespan of the workers with hemolymph extracted remains unaffected.
