Abstract
The leading and trailing edges of rectangular pulses that are used as input signals for PWM-drive control systems can be only assigned at finite timings on each control interval, which are predetermined according to time resolution. In high-speed and high-precision positioning, this quantization error will exert a negative effect on control performance. This report has discussions on methods to reduce the influence of quantization error for frequency-shaped PWM-type final-state control of a system with a resonant mode.
