The invention relates to the technical field of water-saving planting of hybrid millet, in particular to a method for water-saving planting of hybrid millet in an extremely arid area. At present, in the extremely arid area, the amount of natural rainfall is small, the annual rainfall is even less than or equal to 50 mm, and rainfall is taken as to be useless if the rainfall is less than 5 mm. Crops can not be planted by means of the natural rainfall, manual irrigation is needed, and irrigation needs to be conducted twice to three times in more than four mouths during which the millet becomes ripe from seedling emergence. According to the method for water-saving planting of the hybrid millet in the extremely arid area, the planting density is 2205 seedlings/mu to 3293 seedlings/mu, each mu of millet is irrigated by only 80 cubic meters of water before sowing, and irrigation does not need to be conducted in the whole growing process of the crops; compacting is conducted twice to three times by means of rolling stones; film paving is conducted with a machine, and the films are covered with soil to be compacted; each hole is filled with 20 milliliters of water for rooting before sowing; the production peak of the millet can reach 400 kilos/mu, 5 kilos of millet can be produced when each mu of millet is irrigated with 1 cubic meter of water, the moisture production efficiency is improved by five times compared with the current level in China, and the moisture production efficiency is improved by above one time compared with the highest level, which is 2.32 kilos, in the world.
