Abstract
(Molecular Cell 54, 119–132; April 10, 2014) In the originally published version of this article, the Tel2 after GST pull-down blot in Figure 1C was inadvertently duplicated with the Tti1 after GST pull-down blot in Figure 1B, and the Tti1 input blot in Figure 1D was inadvertently duplicated with the Tti1 blot in Figure 3F. This mistake likely arose during figure assembly, whereby, due to the similar figure labeling framework between Figures 1B and 1C and between Figures 1D and 3F, a copy-paste was conducted to retain the labeling framework, but subsequent blot updates were incomplete. The correct Tel2 and Tti1 blot in Figures 1C and 1D are displayed here. The errors do not change the message of the figure, nor do they impact the overall conclusions of the article. The authors regret this error. Inositol Pyrophosphates Mediate the DNA-PK/ATM-p53 Cell Death Pathway by Regulating CK2 Phosphorylation of Tti1/Tel2Rao et al.Molecular CellMarch 20, 2014In BriefHuman IP6K2 mediates p53-dependent cell death. Rao et al. show that IP6K2 functions by promoting p53 phosphorylation by DNA-PKcs/ATM. IP6K2 acts on DNA-PKcs/ATM indirectly by generating an inositol pyrophosphate (IP7) that binds to CK2 and mediates CK2-dependent phosphorylation of a chaperone complex (Tel2/Tti1/Tti2) known to control the stability and activity of DNA-PKcs/ATM.
